Flagstaff to Tucson
We started the morning in snowy Flagstaff, had lunch with my cousins in Phoenix (Avondale), and then had dinner with my friend Cory from GAC down in Tucson, and witnessed quite the change in landscape and weather along the way

8 March 2006

It snowed overnight in Flagstaff I thought by leaving Pennsylvania for Arizona in March that I'd get away from snow But I guess I was wrong I guess there's not much market for an outdoor pool when it's snowing out Snowy desert scenery at a rest stop on I-17 just south of Flagstaff Snowy Arizona A dusting of snow on the dusty desert Snow in Arizona on spring break, who knew? And I'm dressed for the weather I expected to have in Phoenix and Tucson later in the day, not what I was getting up near Flagstaff :-) And that's exactly why I'm not terribly keen on wandering around in the bush I guess it's no more dangerous than wandering around the bush in Australia, though McGuireville Rest Stop along Interstate 17, between Flagstaff and Phoenix ... the elevation here is much lower than Flagstaff, hence the lack of snow Canyons, looking back toward Sedona Lots of brush Come out of there, you wascawy wabbit! There you are Arizona desert Desert view Cool landscaping at the rest stop Some kind of bird in the spiky plant Cool purple cacti Less cool green cacti We made it back to Avondale in time to have lunch with Marci & Jonathan ... and here Megan (Marci's daughter) was Jonathan & Marci listening to Megan's performance Some hills at Casa Grande Rest Stop along Interstate 10 between Phoenix and Tucson Desert hills After my parents & I had dinner with my friend Cory in Tucson, Mom & Dad went back to the hotel, while Cory showed me around town a bit ... this was just a funny sign in Tucson, haha
